THE DESKTOP WALLPAPER PAGE
Tired of the same old boring desktop on your computer? Feel like a cyber-makeover? Here are some images to spice up your workspace.
In order to select the best format for your computer, determine your monitor's screen resolution by right clicking on your desk top and then "properties" and "settings". Select the matching resolution below and you are on your way. If none of the resolutions below match, I would strongly suggest finding the highest building in your neighborhood and dropping the offending monitor off the roof. This is known amongst us technical experts as proactive resolution adjustment (PRA) and is not only great for reducing stress levels but makes a spectacular noise as well.
It's easy to transfer the wallpaper of your choice onto your desktop. Click on the thumbnail of the image you like and a full size image will appear on your screen. Right click on this large image and download the jpg image directly to the desktop by using the "set as background" command or use the "save picture as" command to download the image to a folder that you have previously set up.
The advantage of having a separate wallpaper folder is that you can put all your favorites in there and dip into the folder when you want a change of desktop scenery. Being a basically lazy person, I like to use a program to change my wallpaper automatically. There are many programs to perform this task but the best I've found is WallMaster from Tropical Wares Software. The basic program is free, works perfectly and is easy to set up.
If the downloaded image is too large or too small to fit on your desktop, just right click on the desktop, click "properties, then "desktop" . Under the box labeled "position" choose "stretch" from the dropdown choices and the image should fit perfectly if you selected the proper screen resolution,
