B&H Photography -Thank goodness for "direct deposit". Now, all my paychecks go directly to this great photo equipment supplier without having to go through my checking account. Now all I have to do is convince my wife how great this is! Seriously, I buy all my gear from B&H, they have great prices, are extremely reliable and offer equipment with either US or Greymarket warranties depending how much you want to pay for an item. If you will only have to get service in the US, greymarket is fine and backed by the B&H/Mack warranty, but if you spend a lot of time overseas, you may want to pay more for the item and get the full US/international warranty. The equipment is the same although the model designation might be different as US and European models are often numbered differently.

Really Right Stuff - This is a great company that specializes in camera accessories, particularly tripod adaptors and clamps for strobes and strobe arms. I have bought all my arms and Arca-Swiss attachments from them. The gear is not cheap but of excellent quality and perfect fit. They have just developed their own ballhead that looks like it will give Arca-Swiss a run for its' money.

Photographer Solutions - Simple, elegant and useful software to automate the workflow of the digital photographer is the forte of this new company that is only a year old, but has already produced the "DWSuite" (Digital Workflow), a collection of five different modules that are great at such repetitive tasks such as image rotation, download, "keeper" selection, setting up an editing quay and preparing printing packages. You can download a fully functional 15 day trial from their website.

Arenal Observatory Lodge - The Lodge is our home away from home when we stay in the Arenal area. Friendly staff, comfortable rooms, trails packed with wildlife and good food. What else good you ask for? How about a song from Senior Rigo, who is not only a great waiter but also has a striking resemblance to Elvis and a great voice to match!

Arenal Hanging Bridges - This is a great park that is a short drive from the Arenal volcano across the dam that forms Lake Arenal. Lots of birds, monkeys and other wildlife surround a number of hanging bridges that wind their way across the top of the canopy jungle that comprises the park.
