Welcome to the DVD Desktop Wallpaper Page
These images were used to create our DVDs "Los Sueños de Arenal" and "Costa Rica Pura Vida". This page is a bonus to the DVD and contains images from the slideshows that you can use on your home computer for desktop wallpaper. You will notice that the wallpaper is divided into two different "ratios"; 1.33 and 1.25. To find out which ratio your desktop uses, open up your desktop and right click anywhere on the desktop. A window will popup and choose the settings tab. This will show you the dimensions of your desktop. Just divide the width by the height and you will know your display ratio. For example, if your settings are for 1600x1200, then the display ratio will be 1600/1200 or 1.33. By using the correct ratio, the desktop image you choose will fit perfectly on your desktop with no distortion of the image. For more information, check out the FAQ page.
I use a program to change my wallpaper automatically. There are many programs to perform this task but the best I've found is WallMaster from Tropical Wares Software. The basic program is free, works perfectly and is easy to set up.
